In a video posted on Liverpool’s official account on X, the Egyptian forward spoke about the importance of hard work and staying humble, citing his difficult beginnings.
“I don’t take anything for granted,” Salah said. “Daily, I remind myself where I came from and where I am now. It’s such a huge thing. So I’m really grateful for every moment.”
The former Arab Contractors striker has become one of the world’s top players and a national icon in Egypt.
Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has helped the club win the UEFA Champions League (2019), the FIFA Club World Cup (2020), and two Premier League titles (2020, 2025).
He has claimed the Premier League Golden Boot four times (2018, 2019, 2022, 2025) and was named Premier League Player of the Season twice (2018, 2025).
On the international stage, the 33-year-old played a key role in helping Egypt qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
