According to WAFA, Israeli soldiers fired live bullets toward a group of children who were playing football in the yard of Al-Rihiya Girls Secondary School.

The child was struck by a bullet that penetrated his pelvis and was transferred to a nearby hospital in critical condition before he was later pronounced dead.

Al-Hallaq was a fourth-grade student.

Human rights organizations have repeatedly condemned Israel’s use of live ammunition against civilians, particularly minors, describing such incidents as clear violations of international humanitarian law and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

On Wednesday, the Israeli army raided Nablus in the northern West Bank and arrested several Palestinian youths.

The Israeli army has killed more than 1,050 Palestinians, including 210 children, and wounded 9,034, including 660 children, and arrested 12,100 in violent raids on towns and cities in the occupied West Bank since October 2023.
