The Pharaohs secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after concluding their African qualifiers this month with two victories, an away win against Djibouti and a home triumph over Guinea-Bissau, extending their unbeaten run to 10 matches.
The seven-time African champions will now begin preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, scheduled from 21 December to 18 January, after qualifying, topping Group C with 14 points under coach Hossam Hassan.
The Pharaohs remain the third-highest-ranked African side behind Morocco and Senegal, and second among Arab nations, trailing only Morocco.
Meanwhile, Morocco slipped one place to 12th, while France fell to third, allowing Argentina to claim the second spot.
At the top of the rankings, UEFA EURO 2024 champions Spain maintained their position for the second consecutive month, with Germany re-entering the top ten with a two-spot climb.
