New Senate speaker
Born in Cairo, Farid earned a Bachelor of Laws from Cairo University in 1973. He began his career in the Public Prosecution Office, serving as Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Sayeda Zeinab Prosecution Office and later as Director of the Maadi Prosecution Office.
His judicial career advanced as he became President of the Kafr El-Sheikh Primary Court, then President of the South Cairo Primary Court, and a Counsellor at the Cairo Criminal Court.
From 1990 to 2000, he joined the Technical Office of the Public Prosecutor.
Following a year-long secondment to the Illicit Gains Authority, he returned to serve as President of the Supreme State Security Criminal Courts in Cairo.

Additionally, elected Senator Ahmed Al-Awadhi, deputy chairman of the Homeland Defenders Party, and appointed Senator Faris Saad were chosen as deputy speakers, each receiving 299 valid votes.
