Four-time winners Ghana qualified for next year’s African Nations Cup in South Africa after claiming a 1-0 victory at Malawi on Saturday.

Youngster Afriyie Acquah, who was making his first appearance with Ghana’s senior team, notched up what proved to be the winner after three minutes.

He converted a cross from Afriyie Acquah to give the Black Cats a 3-0 aggregate victory.

Ghana, who finished fourth in the 2012 edition in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, will now make their 19th appearance in the tournament.
