Amid absence of Cairo giants Ahly and Zamalek, Pyramids FC will be competing for the club of the year prize according the lists announced by the African football governing body (CAF).
Congolese striker Fiston Mayele has been shortlisted for the top award of the African Player of the year.
In the Interclub Player of the year category, Mayele, Ibrahim Adel, Moroccan right-back Mohamed Chibi and Burkina Faso midfielder Blati Toure have shortlisted in the final 10-man list.
Ahly's midfielder Emam Ashour is also a contender for the title.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy is included in the hunt for goalkeeper of the year award.
Coach Krunoslav Jurčić has also been nominated for the Coach of the Year Award alongside Egypt coach Hossam Hassan.
Egypt team, coach, skipper also available
Egypt national football team was also available in the race as the team, coach Hossam Hassan and skipper Mohamed Salah Egyptian club Pyramids FC have been also all shortlisted for CAF awards for the best in Africa in 2025.
The record seven-time African champions Egypt will be competing for the National team of the year prize alongside other nine teams.
The Pharaohs coach and former Ahly and Zamalek icon Hossam Hassan was also on the spot after being selected among the nominees for coach of the year award.
The former veteran striker recently managed to guide Egypt to seal a spot at the 2026 World Cup finals.
Egypt skipper and Liverpool star winger will also be competing again for the CAF player of the year award.
