During the Nation of Peace celebration held at the City of Arts and Culture in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Saturday, El-Sisi asserted the importance of responsible decision-making.
“The greater the risk, the greater the responsibility for decisions,” he said.
The event marked the 52nd anniversary of Egypt’s victory in the 6th of October War.
The President expressed gratitude “to Allah the Almighty” for ending the war in Gaza and the suffering endured by Palestinians over the past two years.
He also credited Egypt’s diplomatic efforts, which he said culminated in the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace.
El-Sisi said that from the outset of the Israeli war on Gaza, he expected “harsh days ahead,” but remained confident in Egypt’s ability to help end the crisis.

“We were certain that the problem would eventually come to an end, and what reassures me is that what we are doing is in the best interest of the Palestinians,” he said.
He reiterated that Egypt had rejected all calls for the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
“People were divided over whether the Palestinians should be displaced or not,” El-Sisi said. “Egypt stood alone, rejecting all calls for displacement.”
The president said October symbolized victory for Egypt, achieved not only by the army but “by the strength of the people,” adding that “those who refuse defeat are aided by Allah the Almighty for victory.”
El-Sisi called on universities, schools, and youth organisations to organise visits to Sinai, noting that six tunnels beneath the Suez Canal connect the peninsula to mainland Egypt.

Upon his arrival, the president signed a Message of Peace from Egypt to the World, reaffirming the country’s commitment to peace as a strategic and deeply rooted principle of its national and foreign policy.
The celebration included musical and artistic performances addressing themes of peace, the end of the Israeli war on Gaza, and the resilience of the people of Sinai. Recorded messages from prominent Egyptian figures in religion, medicine, media, the arts, and sports were also presented.

A Palestinian girl named Retaj was invited to sit beside the president after expressing her wish to meet him during the ceremony.
Senior officials, ministers, and representatives from across Egyptian society attended the event.
