Ceramica will face record champions Ahly at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the first of two semifinals, with Pyramids set to play Zamalek in the other. The winners will meet in Sunday’s final.

“All of our players are fully ready for the tournament,” Maher told the pre-match news conference.

“We have the same ambition as Ahly: to reach the final and compete for the title.”

Maher also noted that Ceramica’s team mentality has strengthened following recent performances, which have helped the side top the league table.

Ceramica Cleopatra are currently leading the league with 26 points, three ahead of second-placed Ahly and four points clear of third-placed Zamalek.

Pyramids FC sit fourth with 20 points, though they have played three matches fewer than the other three teams.

Team captain Mohamed Bassam echoed his coach’s confidence, stating that Ceramica are determined to deliver a strong performance in Abu Dhabi.

“Playing the Super Cup in the UAE is a major motivation for us,” Bassam said.

“We showed our character in the league against Petrojet, and we believe we can compete for the title.

“Ahly are always strong in decisive matches, but we have the ambition to make a statement in this tournament.” he concluded.
