The training, which will continue for several days, includes a series of theoretical and practical lectures aimed at unifying joint operations concepts among all participating forces.

The Egyptian-Saudi Red Wave 8 joint drill also involves planning and executing joint naval operations, as well as training to counter unconventional maritime threats.

According to the Egyptian Armed Forces spokesperson, the exercises contribute to refining skills and enhancing the exchange of expertise among participating forces.

The drill comes as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ broader joint training plan with friendly nations to bolster cooperation across various military fields.

In September, Egypt and Saudi Arabia signed a cooperation protocol to support regional maritime security efforts.
