He reaffirmed Singapore’s keenness to deepen cooperation with Egypt across trade, logistics, education, and technology.

Minister Farouk, representing the Egyptian government, commended the depth of Egypt–Singapore relations, describing them as “a partnership built on wisdom, resilience, and the ability to combine tradition with renewal.”

He praised Singapore’s development model, calling it an “inspiring example of national prosperity achieved through efficiency, discipline, and investment in people.”

“Egyptian universities have welcomed hundreds of Singaporean students who drew knowledge and insight in the halls of Al Azhar Al Sharif and returned home as ambassadors of enlightenment and moderation,” he added.

“Egypt has placed special emphasis on enhancing cooperation in trade and logistics, leveraging its position as a pivotal hub for global trade through the Suez Canal, and drawing on Singapore’s expertise in managing smart ports and integrated economic zones,” Farouk explained. “This cooperation comes within the framework of both countries’ commitment to developing transport networks and supply chains, and connecting ports with industrial zones and strategic warehouses, thereby contributing to integration between East and West across Egyptian territory.”

“Technical Education and Capacity Building Partnerships are advancing steadily, Agriculture and Food Security Cooperation has expanded to include the exchange of expertise in smart agriculture natural resource management and the development of food storage and distribution systems,” Farouk added.

“Egypt reaffirms its commitment to continue working with Singapore to strengthen cooperation and expand trilateral partnerships across Africa and Asia, serving food security, energy development, and regional stability,” he concluded.
