The Grand Egyptian Museum hosts first “Fitness Racing” Endurance Event

Just few days after its inauguration to the world, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) hosted on Saturday the first “Fitness Racing” Endurance Event.

With the aim of promoting sports and fitness in Egypt and amid the presence of sports minister Ashraf Sobhy, the event was held with 3,000 participants in a challenge that blends endurance running with functional fitness.

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest museum, hosted the event as the first step of a recent signed long-term strategic agreement with Egyptian companies AlphaX and M squared to host a three-year series of “Fitness Racing” endurance events.

The partnership is a significant step that strengthens Egypt’s position as a leading destination for major sports events.

The deal also aims mainly to supporting sports and athletes in Egypt, while fostering an active community and launching a competitive platform comparable to global events.

The AlphaX Race represents a large-scale athletic experience bringing a dynamic fitness competition that combines endurance running with functional training.

The event attracted more than 3,000 participants and almost 4,000 spectators, including top athletes and fitness enthusiasts.

It has been designed to accommodate all levels, from beginners to professionals, ensuring an integrated and high-quality sports experience for everyone, aligned with the growing interest in health and fitness.
