The move comes in the implementation of Law No. 70 of 2019 regulating industrial chambers, and aims to complete board formations before the start of the 2026 session of chamber meetings later this month.
The reshuffle covers a wide spectrum of strategic industries, including textiles, food industries, chemicals, engineering, building materials, petroleum, furniture, printing and packaging, leather, cinema, pharmaceuticals, information and communications technology, healthcare, real estate development, handicrafts, ready‑made garments, advertising, and desert land development.
The decree brings together a host of leading figures from the public and private sectors, among them Ahmed Abdel-Rahman of Misr Spinning and Weaving, Rana El-Gemaly of Coca-Cola Atlantic Egypt, Hani Berzi of Edita Food Industries, Mohamed El-Saadawy of Metallurgical Industries Holding, Emad El-Sewedy of El Sewedy Electrometer, Alaa El-Din Abdel-Hakim of ENPPI, Omar Hesham Talaat Mostafa of Talaat Mostafa Group, and Magdy Tolba of T&C.
Under the decision, the newly formed boards will convene between 21 and 28 December to elect their chairmen, deputies, executive office members, and representatives to the FEI’s board of directors through secret ballot, in line with the procedures set out in the law and its executive regulations. The decree is to be published in the Official Gazette and enters into force as of its issuance date.
