Passenger car sales led the recovery, surging 69.4 percent to 12,585 units, up from 7,428 in October 2024. Bus sales rose 51.3 percent, while truck sales climbed 74.4 percent.
Year-to-date figures also point to strong momentum. Total market volume grew 77.5 percent to 139,180 units in the first ten months of 2025, compared with 78,427 units in the same period last year. Passenger cars accounted for most of the increase, with sales up 73 percent to 107,665 units.
The buses segment grew 57.1 percent year-to-date, reaching 8,938 units, while truck sales more than doubled, rising 117.4 percent to 22,587 units.
Sales of completely knocked down (CKD) vehicles—assembled in Egypt from imported parts—increased 70.2 percent to 79,529 units year-to-date. Completely built units (CBU), imported fully assembled, rose 88.2 percent to 59,651 units.
Within passenger cars alone, CKD sales rose 54.5 percent to 52,129 units, while CBU sales jumped 94.1 percent to 55,526.
Bus sales showed a similar split: CKD buses increased 73.7 percent to 7,071 units, while CBU buses rose 15.3 percent to 1,867.
Truck sales also accelerated across both categories. CKD trucks increased 127.9 percent to 20,329 units, and CBU trucks rose 53.7 percent to 2,258.
The strong performance marks a significant turnaround for an industry that has struggled with price surges, chronic shortages, and supply disruptions over recent years. Market conditions have eased in recent months, with car prices dropping across several segments, including the second-hand market.
