In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Egypt’s rejection of all forms of violence and extremism, stressing its consistent position in calling for international efforts to combat all types of violence and extremism.
The statement added that Egypt extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of friendly Australia.
The attack occurred during an annual Hanukkah celebration event on Bondi Beach in Sydney. Two suspected shooters were arrested.
