According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, FM Abdelatty’s meeting with Al-Yamahi came within the framework of supporting joint Arab action in confronting current challenges.
The talks also addressed ways to strengthen communication between Arab peoples, in a manner that serves the goals of sustainable development and enhances stability in the region.
During the meeting, the Egyptian FM praised the Arab Parliament’s role as a unifying platform for expressing the aspirations of Arab peoples and as a supportive element in strengthening common Arab positions.
He further emphasized the importance of the Arab Parliament’s role in consolidating an effective and balanced Arab presence on the international stage.
Additionally, Abdelatty affirmed Cairo’s full support for efforts aimed at developing the Arab Parliament’s working mechanisms and advancing its institutional performance.
This support, he noted, aims to enhance the Arab Parliament's ability to keep pace with rapid regional and global changes, and contribute to unifying Arab parliamentary visions on political, economic, and development issues.
The Egyptian top diplomat further affirmed Cairo’s keenness to continue consultation and coordination with the Arab Parliament’s leadership in the coming period.
Abdelatty underscored the importance of the role that parliamentary diplomacy can play in supporting joint Arab action and promoting collective Arab interests.
