The conference will bring together foreign ministers and senior officials, as well as the heads of several African regional organizations, to review progress made since the first ministerial conference, held in Russia’s Sirius Federal Territory in November 2023.
According to the ministry of Foreign affairs, the meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between Russia and African countries across a range of sectors, including the economy, trade and investment, energy, infrastructure, food security, and sustainable development.
Discussions will also focus on regional and international issues of common concern, particularly efforts to support peace, security, and stability across the African continent.
The agenda includes two side events to be held on the margins of the conference.
The first will address the role of development agencies in enhancing trilateral cooperation between Egypt, Russia, and African countries. The second, on the other hand, will focus on mechanisms to promote trilateral cooperation as a tool for achieving comprehensive development.
