According to a CBE press release, the Tanzanian delegation, which included planning and management experts, reviewed Egypt’s BCM practices for responding to crises and emergencies, including cybersecurity, payment systems, and banking supervision.
During their five-day visit, discussions covered the bank’s role in ensuring sustainable and stable banking operations and effective crisis mitigation.
"The CBE aims to expand expertise-exchange programmes with African central banks, particularly in strategic fields such as business continuity and crisis management,” Naglaa Nozahie, the CBE governor’s advisor for African affairs, said.
These programmes allow delegations to learn from CBE’s best practices, improve their own operations, strengthen cooperation between the two countries, and benefit from Egypt’s recently acquired ISO 22301 certification for high standards in BCM implementation.
On Sunday, the CBE held another session on “Current and Emerging Regulatory Developments” to raise awareness of banking supervision and oversight, covering issues related to central bank supervision and risk management strategies.
