The agreement was signed by Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and Adel El-Adawy, Head of the Executive Office of the Arab Board of Health Specializations.
It was announced during a ceremony attended by Arab Board Secretary General Omar bin Awadh Al-Ruwas, Egyptian Knowledge Bank General Supervisor Gina El-Feky, and other officials.
Under the partnership, Arab Board trainees will receive annual subscriptions to three major global platforms offered through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank: Elsevier Clinical Key Student, Osmosis, and Incision Academy. The platforms will provide access to scientific references, specialized lectures, and interactive learning tools.
The initiative reflects the Board’s ongoing efforts since its establishment in 1978 to enhance healthcare quality by raising the scientific and practical standards of medical professionals in the Arab world.
A dedicated working team, including Mohamed El-Hady El-Sweihly, Vice Chairman of the Executive Office; Jawad Al-Sharif, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Board; Essam El-Toukhy, Director of the Training Department at the Arab Board; and Major General Ahmed El-Taoudy, Director of the Arab Board Office in Cairo, negotiated the agreement with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, which was launched by the Egyptian government in 2016 to provide researchers, students, and specialists with access to global scientific content.
El-Feky noted that providing these advanced educational tools to Arab doctors contributes to building medical cadres qualified to global standards.
El-Adawy added that the collaboration underscores Egypt’s role in the region and aims to unify medical knowledge standards while developing physicians’ clinical skills.
The Arab Board of Health Specializations was created by a 1978 decision of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health and offers specialized training programs and certifications across multiple health disciplines in the Arab world.
