The incident occurred near Hamata, south of Marsa Alam, when the tourist boat La Villa struck the seabed during a sea trip and became grounded.

Nearby vessels quickly responded, evacuating all passengers and crew safely to shore without injuries or fatalities.

Initial inspections showed the boat was carrying 20 foreign tourists and an eight-member Egyptian crew.

All passengers and crew received medical checks and were reported to be in good health, while authorities began investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The Hamata area is known for its coral reefs and islands and is a popular destination for diving and long sea excursions.

Grounding incidents are occasionally reported in the area, sometimes due to tidal changes or human error.
