President El-Sisi made the gesture during a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Cairo.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed several regional issues of mutual concern and reaffirmed the importance of reaching peaceful solutions to regional crises, according to the Egyptian presidency.
They also emphasized the importance of preserving the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of states, particularly in Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, and Gaza.
President El-Sisi also commended the Saudi leadership’s development and prosperity initiatives and reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to closer cooperation with Riyadh across various fields.
He also welcomed efforts to organize the first meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council, highlighting the importance of intensified coordination on issues of mutual interest.
The president asked that his greetings be conveyed to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia.
For his part, the Saudi top diplomat affirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening its relations with Egypt and enhancing political consultations between the two countries.
He also conveyed the greetings and appreciation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to President El-Sisi.
