An ERC statement said the convoy also carries over 5,300 tons of relief supplies, including more than 2,950 tons of food parcels and flour; around 1,010 tons of medicines, medical and relief materials, and personal care items; and approximately 1,375 tons of fuel.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief has expanded food assistance in northern Gaza, opening more than 40 distribution points to deliver food parcels to the most vulnerable families amid extremely harsh living conditions.
Committee spokesperson Mohamed Mansour said late Saturday that Egyptian relief teams reached far northwestern and eastern areas of Gaza City, including locations near the so-called “yellow line” close to Israeli positions.
He said the initiative aims to restore a sense of safety, prevent exploitation, and preserve dignity for affected communities, in line with directives from the Egyptian leadership.
Mansour also announced the start of the handover of the Zahraa City camp, which includes 850 fully equipped tents to shelter families whose homes were destroyed.
The camp provides basic services, including a school, a water well, medical clinics, and communal kitchens that supply hot meals.
As of December, the committee has established 22 relief camps across the Gaza Strip, 16 of which are operational, providing shelter to tens of thousands of Palestinians displaced by the war.
Since the outbreak of the crisis, the ERC has maintained a continuous presence at the border, coordinating and dispatching aid through Egypt’s logistics hubs.
The Rafah crossing has remained open from the Egyptian side, and operations supported by 65,000 volunteers have enabled the delivery of over 780,000 tons of humanitarian assistance.
Working with Egyptian state authorities, the United Nations, and international partners, the ERC has carried out one of the largest and most sustained relief operations in the region, delivering aid through the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings despite the ongoing Israeli blockade.
Since 27 July 2025, the ERC has intensified ground operations through the Zad Al-Izza: From Egypt to Gaza initiative, dispatching a series of convoys that have delivered over 234,000 tons of aid.
The convoys focus on sustaining food supplies, supporting hospital operations with fuel, and responding to seasonal and emergency needs, including shelter and winter clothing, as humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate.
