"To my beloved audience, the Coca-Cola Arena concert in Dubai on 17 January 2026 has been postponed due to urgent circumstances beyond my control (a severe cold), which prevented it from taking place as scheduled," the King wrote in a post on his official Facebook page.
Mounir confirmed that the new date for the concert will be announced soon and expressed his gratitude to fans for their understanding and continued support.

Born on 10 October 1954 in Manshiyat Nubia, Aswan, Mohamed Mounir is one of Egypt’s most iconic singers, known for blending Nubian musical roots with modern genres such as pop and jazz.
His career began with collaborations with the Al-Masryeen band led by Hani Shenouda and later with composer Ahmed Mounib and poet Abdel Rahim Mansour, who helped him define his signature sound and release his early albums.
Over the decades, Mounir’s popularity soared, and his discography now includes 20 albums and countless singles.
Key albums include Almouni Aineki (1977), Shababeek (1981), Bari (1986), Leila Ya Samra (1993), Fi Ishq El Banat (2000), Ahmar Shafayef (2003), and Embareh Kan Omri Eshreen (2005).
His music often explores themes of love, freedom, and social justice, appealing to multiple generations.
Mounir also became a household voice for younger audiences by singing the theme for the animated Ramadan series Bakkar, which ran for 11 seasons between 1998 and 2015.
Beyond music, he appeared in cinema and television, debuting in Youssef Chahine’s Hadduta Masreya and later starring in films such as El Yom El Sades and Youm Helw w Youm Morr.
In recent years, Mounir continued performing across Egypt and the Arab world.
In 2024, he briefly travelled to Germany for medical treatment related to kidney and liver complications, reassuring fans later that his condition was improving.
In August 2025, his concert at the New Alamein Festival alongside Ramy Gamal was postponed due to another health setback.
