18:10 Senegal coach Pape Thiaw made just one change to the lineup that started against Mali, bringing in Bayern Munich striker Nicolas Jackson in place of regular starter Habib Diallo.

18:00 FC Metz striker Habib Diallo said on Wednesday that Senegal are fully prepared to face Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals, stressing that qualification will be decided by fine margins.
"We will try to do what we always do against a team we know very well,” he said. “We’re training and preparing as we would for any other match - if anything, even more."

17:35 Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has kept the same lineup that started against Côte d’Ivoire, with Emam Ashour in midfield and Omar Marmoush partnering Mohamed Salah up front.

16:30 The Lions of Teranga reached the semi-finals after edging Mali 1-0 in their quarter-final.

16:00 On the other side, Senegal coach Pape Thiaw said on Tuesday his side will show respect but also ambition when they face seven-time champions Egypt.

“We will face a seven-star Egyptian team. They are the most successful team in Africa in terms of their record,” Thiaw said.

“We are approaching this match with respect and ambition. We know we are facing a very strong team that is used to these kinds of matches, but we are determined to win and reach the final while staying true to our playing philosophy," he added.

15:20 Hassan also heaped praise on his players for their determination to perform strongly in what he described as a highly competitive tournament, pointing to the increasing number of professional players strengthening African national teams.

15:00 In Tuesday's pre-match press conference, Egypt coach Hossam Hassan said that teams facing Egypt do so “with fear,” dismissing talk of a "psychological barrier" against Senegal; adding that his players are ready and fully aware of the challenge.

“We respect the opponent and will play well," the former veteran striker Hassan said.

14:00 Under the guidance of coach Hossam Hassan, Egypt, like the other three teams in the semis, are unbeaten in the prestigious tournament, winning four of their five matches and drawing in the remaining one.

13:00 The Pharaohs reached the semis after securing a deserved 3-2 victory over holders Ivory Coast in Saturday’s quarter-final and are now eyeing their first AFCON title since 2010.

12:00 With an eye on keeping their dream of securing eighth continental title alive, unbeaten Egypt will be in a must win situation on Wednesday when they face Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.
