In a joint statement issued after US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced the launch of Phase Two of President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza plan, the three mediators said the newly formed National Technocratic Committee for the Administration of Gaza would support efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and improve conditions on the ground.
The committee is chaired by Alaa Abdel-Hamid Shat and is tasked with overseeing Gaza’s civil administration during the post-war transition.
The mediators said the committee’s formation would help pave the way for implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which they described as aimed at preventing renewed fighting and stabilizing the truce.
Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye also called on all parties to fully adhere to the ceasefire agreement, saying sustained compliance was necessary to achieve a lasting ceasefire and create conditions for Gaza’s reconstruction.
They said stabilization and reconstruction were essential to meeting what they described as the Palestinian people’s legitimate demands for security, stability, and a dignified life.
The statement comes as international efforts intensify to move Gaza from a fragile ceasefire toward post-war governance and reconstruction, following months of devastating Israeli military operations and a deepening humanitarian crisis.
