The convoy, part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to coordinate and deliver humanitarian assistance to Gaza, included dozens of aid trucks transporting essential food, medical, relief, and fuel supplies.

According to the ERC, the 117th convoy carried over 8,080 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, including more than 4,830 tons of food baskets and flour, approximately 1,385 tons of medical supplies, relief items, and medicines, 66 tons of personal care items, and nearly 1,800 tons of petroleum products.

In response to the harsh winter conditions facing Gaza’s residents, the Egyptian Red Crescent also delivered critical winter relief supplies, including around 53,200 pieces of winter clothing, more than 16,070 blankets, and 1,260 tents to shelter displaced families.

The “Zad Al-Izza” initiative was launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on 27 July 2025, and has since delivered thousands of tons of aid, ranging from food supplies, flour, and infant formula to medical equipment, medicines, personal care items, and fuel.

Since the crisis began, 763 fuel trucks have also entered Gaza, delivering more than 225,000 tons of diesel, gas, and gasoline needed to keep hospitals and bakeries operating.

Overall, Egypt has coordinated with 59 countries, processed 943 humanitarian flights and 617 maritime shipments, facilitated the entry of 214 ambulances, supplied about 91,000 tons of fuel, and supported the deployment of four field hospitals.

Aid has continued to flow through the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings for more than 760 consecutive days, coordinated by the ERC and supported by a nationwide logistics network and more than 65,000 volunteers.
