Fangary received Bolaños, Spain’s Minister of the Presidency, Justice, and Relations with Parliament, along with his accompanying delegation, at the Ministry of Justice headquarters in the New Capital, in the presence of senior ministry officials.

At the outset of a bilateral meeting, Fangary welcomed the Spanish minister, praising the depth and strength of relations between Egypt and Spain. The talks addressed issues of mutual interest and explored prospects for expanding cooperation between the two justice ministries.

Following the meeting, the two ministers signed an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the competent authorities of both countries. The agreement focuses on cooperation in preventing, investigating, and prosecuting criminal offences, particularly in the fields of combating organized crime and terrorism.

The second agreement regulates the extradition of fugitives present in either country who are wanted by the other party for prosecution or for the enforcement of final judicial rulings in crimes subject to extradition.

The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields, reflecting mutual appreciation and underscoring the spirit of cooperation between the two sides.
