The Joy Awards 2026 took place this week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the sixth edition of one of the region’s most prominent entertainment celebrations.

The ceremony took place on 17 January as part of Riyadh Season and brought together stars from across the Arab world and beyond to honour outstanding achievements in music, film, television, sports, and digital content creation.

Organized by the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) in partnership with major media outlets, the event featured high-profile performances, international guests, and awards voted on by both the public and expert juries, highlighting the growing influence of regional entertainment on the global stage.

Over the years, the Joy Awards have become a major entertainment celebration, showcasing the remarkable achievements of Arab talent while also recognizing international artists and contributors.

The winners of the 2026 Joy Awards are as follows:

- Favourite Female Singer: Egyptian singer Angham

- Favourite Male Singer: Lebanese singer Fadel Chaker

- Favourite Song: Sahak Lsho' by Lebanese singer Fadel Chaker

- Favourite New Artist: Lebanese singer Mohamed Fadel Chaker, son of Fadel Chaker

- Favourite Movie: Egyptian film Siko Siko, directed by Omar El Mohandes and starring Taha Desouky

- Favourite Movie Actress: Kuwaiti actress Shujoun Al-Hajri for her role in Wedding of Fire

- Favourite Movie Actor: Egyptian actor Maged El-Kedwany for his role in Feeha Eh Yaani

- Favourite Gulf Series: Share’ Al A’sha (Al Asha Street), a Saudi drama directed by Ahmet Katiksiz

- Favourite Egyptian Series: Ashghal Shaqqa Gedan (Apartment Works), directed by Khaled Diab and starring Hesham Maged and Asmaa Galal.

- Favourite Levant Series: Drama titled Salma, an Arabic adaptation of the Turkish hit series Woman

- Favourite Series Actress: Syrian actress Karess Bashar for her role in Taht Sabe’ Ard

- Favourite Series Actor: Saudi actor Abdulmohsen Al Nemr for his role in Al Marsa.

- Favourite Rising Star: Saudi actress Taraf Al‑Obaidy for her role in Ommi (My Mother)

- Favourite Film Director: Omar El Mohandes for his comedy film Siko Siko

- Favourite Series Director: Ahmet Katiksiz and Gül Sarıaltın, the director duo behind the voted favourite Gulf series Share’ Al A’sha

- Favourite Male Athlete: Moroccan goalkeeper Yassin Bounou

- Favourite Female Athlete: Saudi footballer Layla ElQahtani

- Favourite Male Influencer: Viral sensation and gaming creator Rayan Al-Ahmari (MjrmGames) 

- Favourite Female Influencer: Saudi influencer Rateel Alshehri

- Lifetime Achievement Award: Egyptian artist and former culture minister Farouk Hosny 

- Diamond Honorary Award: Qatari businessman, sports executive, and former professional tennis player Nasser Al-Khelaifi

- Honorary Award: Saudi broadcaster and TV presenter Saleh Al-Areedh

- Honorary Award: Syrian singer Assala

- Personality of the Year: British actress Millie Bobby Brown

- Lifetime Achievement Award: American actor, filmmaker, and activist Forest Whitaker
