During a phone call, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of moving forward with the implementation of the obligations of the second phase of Trump’s plan. He also noted the importance of supporting the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.
Additionally, the Egyptian FM underscored the need to expedite the deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) to monitor the ceasefire. This deployment, he added, would pave the way for early recovery and reconstruction, while ensuring the ongoing and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Sudan. They affirmed the importance of ongoing coordination within the framework of the Quad Mechanism to achieve a humanitarian truce, establish safe corridors, and ultimately reach a comprehensive ceasefire.
Moreover, Abdelatty affirmed the depth of the fraternal ties between Egypt and the UAE. He stated that Egypt is keen on enhancing cooperation with the UAE, given the recent momentum in their relations.
