In his new role, Salah will oversee AVEVA’s operations in Africa and lead a team of around 30 employees, focusing on implementing the company’s regional growth strategy. He will report to Jesus Hernandez, Senior Vice President for the EMEA region.

Salah brings more than 15 years of experience across industrial and commercial domains. He holds an MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK and a master’s degree in engineering from Ain Shams University in Egypt. His career began at Schneider Electric in 2013, where he held several senior roles spanning supply chain, procurement, and global commercial strategy within the industrial automation business.

After 12 years at Schneider Electric, Salah joined AVEVA in 2022 to lead the global strategic partnership between AVEVA and Schneider Electric. In this role, he managed a team of 30 and spearheaded the rollout of new AVEVA software solutions across multiple industrial verticals.

Alongside his current responsibilities overseeing the AVEVA–Schneider Electric partnership, Salah will now assume full responsibility for AVEVA’s activities in Africa.

Commenting on the appointment, Jesus Hernandez said Africa represents a strategic market for AVEVA, noting the growing demand from leading players in the energy, metals and mining, chemicals, and water sectors for digital transformation and sustainability solutions. He added that Salah’s leadership experience would support teams operating across 12 African countries, including Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Salah said his focus will be on strengthening AVEVA’s footprint in Africa by supporting his team and accelerating industrial digital transformation across the region, particularly through the company’s CONNECT industrial intelligence platform and its partner ecosystem.
