Minister Demeter expressed to Ahram Online his delight to visit Egypt, emphasizing the Romanian Ministry of Culture's commitment to translating this cooperation into sustainable partnerships.
The Romanian Minister of Culture noted that both countries provide significant support for culture and the book industry, but there is a need for further support for culture, intellectuals, and their literary works.

He pointed out that cultural issues are similar in both countries, adding that culture and the arts are tools for the progress and civilization of nations and a bridge connecting cultures and countries.
He expressed his deep appreciation for Egyptian civilization and his delight at visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum.
He added, "During my visit, I explored the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding aimed at deepening and intensifying frameworks for joint cultural cooperation, including the fields of opera, music, theatre, visual arts, and translation, in addition to exchanging artistic expertise and implementing joint cultural projects between relevant institutions in both countries."
The Romanian Minister of Culture met with Ahmed Fouad Hanno, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, with the meeting addressing ways to enhance cultural cooperation between the two nations.
This coincided with Romania being the guest of honour at the 57th Cairo International Book Fair, which was inaugurated yesterday by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on behalf of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.
