Israeli forces opened fire on Ammar Majed Hassan Hijazi, 34, while he was driving his vehicle in the city of Ramallah, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported. Israeli forces also detained his body.
The killing occurred amid a series of Israeli raids carried out across Ramallah Governorate, including the towns of Turmus Ayya and Deir Dibwan, as well as the village of Burqa.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli forces arrested five Palestinians in the city of Tulkarm. They also carried out an incursion in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, where they severely beat a 22-year-old Palestinian.
North of Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian child from the town of Mikhmas, northeast of the city, after raiding and searching his family’s home.
Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Israeli forces and settlers have carried out attacks across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, killing at least 1,103 Palestinians, wounding nearly 11,000 others, and arresting more than 21,000 people.
In the Gaza Strip, an Israeli strike on Saturday killed two Palestinian teenagers, according to hospital authorities. The boys, cousins aged 13 and 15, were searching for firewood, according to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, which received their bodies.
The boys were killed in an area that Israel’s military has said is safe for Palestinians, about 500 metres from the Yellow Line, which separates Israeli-controlled areas in eastern Gaza from the rest of the strip, a relative, Arafat al-Zawara, said.
On Sunday, Israeli forces continued military violations across Gaza, with renewed shelling, gunfire, and ground incursions reported in several areas.
WAFA reported that Israeli aircraft targeted the al-Tuffah neighbourhood east of Gaza City, while military vehicles advanced toward the vicinity of a mosque in the area, carrying out excavation operations and firing heavily.
Israeli military vehicles also opened intense machine-gun fire on tents and homes in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, occupation forces continued large-scale demolitions, artillery shelling, and gunfire east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Since the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement—brokered by Cairo, Doha, Ankara, and Washington—came into effect on 10 October, Israeli forces have killed over 450 Palestinians, injured more than 1,300 others, and committed over 1,300 reported violations of the agreement.
