The 20-year-old has agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.

With Pyramids already at the maximum quota of five foreign players, Phiri will initially be registered with the club’s youth team.

Phiri made one appearance for Zambia, featuring in a friendly against the Democratic Republic of Congo in December 2025, but was omitted from the squad for the most recent Africa Cup of Nations.

He is Pyramids’ third signing of the winter transfer window, following the arrivals of Palestinian midfielder Hamed Hamdan from Petrojet and playmaker Nasser Maher from Zamalek.

Pyramids face El Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday. They are second in the standings with 27 points, five behind leaders Ceramica Cleopatra, who have played two matches more.

In the Champions League, the defending champions top their group with seven points after drawing away to Morocco’s RS Berkane on Saturday. The two sides meet again in Cairo on Saturday.
