In a statement, the EMA said wind speeds of between 35 and 50 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected to affect much of northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, leading to blowing sand and dust and reduced visibility.
Horizontal visibility could fall below 1,000 metres in some areas, particularly in Greater Cairo, the North Coast, and parts of northern Upper Egypt, the authority said. The Western Desert and the northwestern coast are expected to be the worst affected.
The EMA advised people with sinusitis and respiratory conditions to wear masks when outdoors during dusty conditions.
Over the coming days, daytime temperatures in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt are forecast to reach around 24 degrees, falling to about 12 degrees at night. On the North Coast, temperatures are expected to range between 23 degrees during the day and 12 degrees overnight.
Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of around 26 degrees, dropping to approximately 8 degrees at night, while southern Upper Egypt is expected to remain warmer, with daytime temperatures reaching about 28 degrees and nighttime lows of around 12 degrees.
