The Pharaohs took control early, opening a 10-5 lead inside the first 15 minutes and going into halftime ahead 16-11.

Coached by Xavier Pascual, Egypt maintained their grip after the break, gradually extending the margin to seal a six-goal victory.

Egypt topped Group I with six points, finishing ahead of Algeria, who had four, and capped the main round with a 48-22 rout of Nigeria.

The Pharaohs, bidding for a record-extending 10th African title, will face the winner of the other semifinal between Tunisia and Algeria.

The final of the tournament, which is being played in Rwanda, will take place on Saturday.
