The Israeli army said certain buildings in Kfar Tibnit and Ain Qana are to be "evacuated immediately", because the army would soon "strike …" the two villages.
Despite a November 2024 truce that sought to end more than a year of the Israeli war on Lebanon, Israel has kept up regular strikes on Lebanon and has maintained troops in several location in the south.
More than 360 people have been killed by Israeli fire in Lebanon since the ceasefire, according to an AFP tally of the Lebanese health ministry reports.
The war proved disastrous for human life, with more than 4,000 people killed, more than 17,000 injured, and 1.2 million civilians displaced internally. But a relatively overlooked aspect of the destruction was the significant effects on the environment.
Lebanon said one person was killed and several others wounded in Israeli strikes in the country's south on Sunday, as Israel again justifies the attack by claiming the victim was a Hezbollah member.
