"Jordan will not be a battleground in any regional conflict or a launching pad for any military action against Iran," Safadi said during a phone call, according to a statement from Jordan's foreign ministry.
He added that Amman "will not permit any party to violate its airspace or threaten its security and the safety of its citizens," amid escalating US threats of a potential attack on Iran.
Safadi further emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue to resolve regional tensions, reaffirming Jordan’s commitment to supporting efforts to de-escalate and stabilize the region.
Araghchi, for his part, praised Jordan’s role in promoting regional security and stability.
The two ministers also discussed developments related to Iran's nuclear file, agreeing to continue consultations and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and fostering dialogue.
