Ahly are third in the standings with 26 points, six behind leaders Ceramica Cleopatra who played two matches more, while NBE Club sit ninth on 20 points.

Coach Jess Thorup is expected to have a near full-strength squad available, giving him several selection options ahead of the encounter.

The Cairo giants will be boosted by a number of new signings with the likes Portuguese-Angolan striker Ieltsin Camoes, forward Marwan Othman, defender Amr El-Gazar and Masry fullback Ahmed Eid.

However, Moroccan defender Youssef Belammari and Petrojet defender Hady Riyad are yet to make their first appearance with the club.

International defender Yasser Ibrahim, is the  team's only absence due to minor muscle injury.

The Red Devils will be keen to avoid any slip-ups against NBE Club as they seek to defend their title, with little margin for dropped points.

The game is set to be tough against a team which includes many talented players such as international striker Ossama Faysal and former Zamalek players Mohamed Ibrahim, Mostafa Shalaby and Sayed Abdallah.

They also strengthened their squad, signing midfielder Ahmed Reda and Algerian playmaker Salah Bouchama, both of whom are expected to be available for Tuesday’s match.
