In a statement, the Egyptian foreign ministry affirmed its commitment to continuing to support the Sahel countries in achieving regional stability and eliminating terrorism.
On Thursday, Diori Hamani, Niger's main airport in the capital Niamey, was targeted in an attack claimed on Friday by the Islamic State (IS) group.
According to AFP, 20 attackers were killed in the strike on the airport, which houses an air force base and is located about 10 kilometres from the presidential palace.
