The 24-year-old, widely regarded as one of the most promising attacking talents in Egyptian football, arrives in Denmark after a short spell in the UAE Pro League, having joined Al Jazira at the start of the current campaign from Pyramids FC.

Adel made 11 appearances for Al Jazira without scoring or providing an assist and missed the club’s last two matches prior to the move. His European switch had been anticipated earlier last year, but negotiations with an unnamed European club collapsed at an advanced stage, delaying his move abroad.

The winger first rose to prominence with Pyramids, where he developed into a key attacking figure and attracted continental attention with his performances in domestic and African competition. He further enhanced his reputation at international level, producing an impressive display at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he played a leading role as Egypt matched their best-ever Olympic finish.

Nordsjælland currently sit eighth in the Danish Superliga standings with 24 points as they push for a place in the championship round.

If the transfer is fully completed in time, Adel could make his debut for the Danish club against SønderjyskE in the league on 8 February.

Nordsjælland last lifted the Danish league title in the 2011/2012 season.
