Egyptian winger Ibrahim Adel has pledged to help FC Nordsjælland secure a top-six finish in the Danish Superliga after completing a season-long loan move from Al Jazira, the club announced on Tuesday.

Speaking to Nordsjælland’s official website, the 24-year-old Egyptian international said he was eager to begin his stint in Denmark after an earlier interest in a move failed to materialize. He praised the club’s reputation for youth development and said he was looking forward to experiencing it first-hand.

Adel is expected to arrive in Denmark next week once his work permit is finalized. While admitting he knows little about the country, he said he has followed Danish football and is familiar with the league’s format and competitive structure.

“My goal for the spring is to help the club achieve its ambition of finishing in the top six,” Adel said. “Once we do that, we will fight the other teams and try to achieve the best possible results. I am used to competing at the top and aiming to win every match.”

The winger pointed to his recent success with Pyramids FC, where he helped the Cairo-based side win the CAF Champions League last season, as evidence of his winning mentality. He added that he hopes to continue contributing goals and assists in Denmark.

Nordsjælland football director Alexander Riget said the club had tracked Adel for a long period and viewed the loan deal, which includes a purchase option, as a valuable opportunity.

He added that Adel’s ability to play across several attacking positions would provide added tactical flexibility during the decisive phase of the season.

Nordsjælland currently sit eighth in the Superliga standings as they look to strengthen their push for a place in the championship round.
