During a meeting, PM Madbouly praised the SCMR committees that prepared the recommendations, which included a number of diverse and prominent media figures.

For his part, Abdel-Aziz said the 66 members of the eight subcommittees diagnosed the current state of Egyptian media and the challenges it is facing to propose solutions and visions for its reform and development.

This process, Abdelaziz noted, relied on expertise and competencies to ensure keeping pace with rapid global changes and to enable the media to fulfill its mission through specialized, professional national media cadres capable of carrying this message—particularly its role in building cultural and social awareness and reinforcing national identity.

He outlined to the prime minister the key proposals and guidelines included in the final report.

These proposals, Abdel-Aziz, include working to improve media content and policies to help provide higher-quality content; identifying ways to create a supportive environment for those working in the media field in general.

According to the SCMR chief, proposals also include adopting modern tools and keeping pace with developments—not only through digital technologies, but also by updating the relationship with the audience through respecting its intellect, presenting modern content that enriches awareness and strengthens intellectual resilience, and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian media regionally and globally.
