The Egyptian title holders lead the group with 10 points, three ahead of Morocco’s RSB Berkane and Zambia’s Power Dynamos.
Power Dynamos' 2-0 win over Berkane on Saturday kept them in contention but ultimately sealed Pyramids' qualification, thanks to their superior head-to-head record against both teams.
Rivers United, who will host Pyramids at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, are at the bottom of the group with just one point.
“As title holders, we approach every game with the intention to win, even if qualification is already secured,” said Pyramids defender Osama Galal at the pre-match press conference.
Coach Krunoslav Jurčić will be without right-back Mohamed Chibi and striker Fiston Mayele, both of whom have been rested due to the team's busy fixture schedule.
Winter signings Odeh Al-Fakhouri from Jordan and Zambian winger Pascal Phiri have been included in the squad for the match.
