Former Ahly and Zamalek forward Mahmoud “Kahraba” Abdel-Moneim has rejoined Egyptian club ENPPI after parting ways with Kuwait’s Qadsya, the petroleum club announced on Monday.

“Kahraba is an ENPPI player again. Welcome back,” the club said in a brief statement on its official Facebook page, without providing further details.

Egyptian media reported that the 31-year-old player has joined the club on a free transfer until the end of the current season.

Earlier on February, Kahraba announced the termination of his contract with Qadsya after failing to receive his financial dues, saying he was a free agent and available to join a new club.

Kahraba, who joined Ahly’s youth academy in 2004, began his professional career with ENPPI in 2011, quickly establishing himself as one of Egypt’s most promising talents. However, his career was later affected by a series of disputes over transfers and contractual commitments.

During his first spell at ENPPI, he scored eight goals in 35 appearances. He then spent two loan spells in Switzerland with Luzern and Grasshopper between 2013 and 2014.

He returned to ENPPI before joining Cairo giants Zamalek in 2015, beginning a successful period that lasted until 2019 and included a loan spell with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad. He scored 27 goals in 83 appearances for Zamalek in all competitions.

In 2019, Kahraba moved to Portuguese club Desportivo das Aves, where he stayed for four months before signing for Ahly in December.

He spent four seasons at Ahly, scoring 35 goals in 93 matches across all competitions. His time at the club included loan spells with Turkey’s Hatayspor and Libya’s Al-Ittihad, before leaving to join Qadsya in August 2025.

At the international level, Kahraba represented Egypt’s youth and Olympic teams between 2011 and 2015 and made his senior debut in 2013. He scored five goals in 31 appearances for the Pharaohs and featured at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

ENPPI currently sit 11th in the Egyptian Premier League with 20 points from 14 matches, 15 behind leaders Ceramica Cleopatra, who have played two games more.
