According to media reports, the company explained that this increase comes in implementation of the provisions of the value-added tax and its amendments.

The new price list includes Cleopatra cigarettes, including king size, soft queen, box, super, and black label, in addition to other brands, such as Mondial, Boston, Belmont, Matossian, and Switch Menthol and Blueberry.

Eastern Company’s decision follows a similar move by Philip Morris, raising the price for all its heated tobacco products on 2 February, including HEETS and TEREA, as well as traditional cigarettes under the Marlboro, Merit, and L&M brands.

This is the first increase in prices in 2026 by Eastern Company. The last was in June 2025 following tax bracket changes.

Cigarettes remain Eastern Company’s largest product by consumption and contribution to the national budget.
