According to the statement, Transport Minister Kamel Al-Wazir directed officials to maintain close monitoring of operations through central control rooms and on-site supervision to ensure adherence to headway schedules and order within stations.
He also instructed the deployment of additional empty trains during peak hours to ease congestion and accommodate high passenger volumes, the raising of maximum readiness levels for emergency teams stationed at stations, and the adoption of all necessary measures to address and immediately repair any malfunctions.
Astronomically, Thursday, 19 February, will mark the first day of Ramadan, according to the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).
