In a statement covering the period from 22 to 26 February, the EMA said nights will remain cold to very cold nationwide.

There are also chances of light to moderate rainfall on Sunday and Monday in parts of the northern coasts and northern Delta at times, the EMA added.

Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta are expected to see highs of 20–22°C, while the northern coasts will experience highs of 18–19°C. Lows in these areas range between 10 and 11°C.

Northern Upper Egypt is forecast to see highs of 21–23°C and lows of 8–10°C.

Egypt's deep south will see highs of 24–28°C and lows of 10–11°C.

The authority warned of dense morning fog between 4am and 9am on some agricultural roads and highways leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern Upper Egypt, and cities along the Suez Canal, advising drivers to exercise caution due to reduced visibility.

The authority said it will issue further updates if weather conditions change.
