The two ministers underscored the importance of swiftly implementing the second phase of the US president’s ceasefire plan in Gaza and providing full support for the work of the Palestinian National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip (NCAG) to govern and rebuild the strip.

The two top diplomats also stressed the need to deploy the International Stabilization Force (ISF) to ensure adherence to the ceasefire as a necessary step toward facilitating early recovery and reconstruction, while maintaining the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of the enclave.

The deployment of the ISF is a central pillar of the second phase of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, brokered by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the US on 13 October 2025, to end the Israeli genocidal war on the strip.

The Gaza truce deal stipulates that the multinational security body would be tasked with monitoring the ceasefire, securing humanitarian corridors, and preventing a security vacuum as Israeli occupation forces begin their phased withdrawal.

Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Albania have committed to sending troops to the US-led ISF in Gaza to monitor the implementation of the truce deal.

The Egyptian-Emirati call for the full implementation of the truce comes as the Israeli occupation forces continue breaching the terms of the deal daily, with airstrikes that killed and wounded hundreds of Palestinians, as well as restrictions on the unfettered entry of humanitarian aid to alleviate difficult conditions in the strip.

Regarding Sudan, FM Abdelatty reaffirmed to Sheikh Abdullah Egypt’s firm stance in support of Sudan’s unity, territorial integrity, and the cohesion of its national institutions. Abdelatty said Egypt is intensifying efforts to improve the humanitarian situation and back de-escalation initiatives.

Egypt and the UAE, alongside Saudi Arabia and the US, are members of the Quad, a mechanism that aims to find a diplomatic and political solution to end the war in Sudan.

Both foreign ministers also agreed that diplomatic solutions remain the only viable path to shield the region from further instability.

Turning to bilateral ties, the two sides agreed on the importance of sustaining joint efforts to enhance cooperation across various sectors, building on current momentum to advance shared interests.
