The event was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, several ministers, commanders of the main military branches, armed forces leaders, media figures, and students of the Military Academy and military colleges.

According to presidential spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, El-Sisi began his remarks by extending greetings, appreciation, and respect to those present, including trainees and their families, expressing his pleasure at meeting them at the Egyptian Military Academy. The president noted the large number of trainees enrolled at the academy, which stands at nearly 8,000 students.

President El-Sisi said the main objective of the academy’s programmes is to build the individual, stressing the importance of this goal and the need to translate this attention into real, practical action. He added that the state has exerted major efforts in basic and university education, efforts that continue today, including the establishment of private and non-profit universities.

In this context, the president said a parallel experience had been introduced through the educational programmes of the Egyptian Military Academy, where specialists in sociology and psychology were consulted to prepare a roadmap identifying the most appropriate methods for preparing individuals.

El-Sisi also expressed his satisfaction with the positive impressions he has received regarding the academy’s programmes, noting that families of students had previously expressed a desire to allow their children to study at the Military Medical College, and that a new class was admitted this year.

The president stressed that building individuals must take place on sound foundations, so that citizens become balanced and capable of understanding and learning.

He also emphasized that the presence of students from diverse backgrounds at the academy is fully respected and contributes to strong cohesion among members of different institutions.

He added that there is no favouritism or discrimination in selecting students for the academy and that the only standard is competence and genuine merit.

According to the spokesman, El-Sisi said the academy’s educational programmes aim to build on the lessons learned from Egypt’s experiences since 2011, stressing that the goal is to bring together employees from different institutions and prepare qualified cadres capable of achieving the objective of building the Egyptian individual.

Egypt, he added, needs generations with vision, awareness, and understanding capable of safeguarding the country’s resources for current and future generations.

The president also noted that teachers are being trained and prepared for deployment to schools, stressing the importance of proper qualifications and preparation. He said the academy's standards are based on strong principles that respect all trainees and aim to build a modern state calmly and steadily.

El-Sisi also addressed the crisis and war taking place in the Middle East, stressing that Egypt had been keen to prevent such escalation because it knows from experience that wars bring nothing but destruction and devastation, and harm to the interests and resources of people.

He said Egypt continues to make sincere and honest efforts to end war, warning that its continuation would carry a high cost. The president added that war is often the result of miscalculation and estimation errors.

El-Sisi said Egypt has faced many difficult circumstances and challenges in recent years. Nevertheless, Egypt, he added, met affronts and conspiracies with “utmost patience,” which proved successful in dealing with some countries.

Addressing Egyptian citizens, the president stressed the importance of responsible action grounded in knowledge and study. He warned that the current crisis could affect prices.

However, he said he had directed authorities to study the possibility of referring price manipulators to military courts, stressing that the country is “in a state close to emergency” and that the current circumstances must not be exploited to inflate prices or manipulate the supply of essential goods.

“Do not worry, by the grace of God, we are well. Praise be to God,” the president said.

According to the presidency, El-Sisi concluded his visit to the Egyptian Military Academy by performing the Isha and Taraweeh prayers at the academy’s mosque.
