Egypt reaffirms solidarity with Qatar, Gulf states amid regional escalation

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, expressed Egypt's solidarity with Qatar and other Gulf states against the recent attacks targeting several countries in the region in a phone call on Friday with Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

According to the foreign ministry spokesman, Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the call reviewed the rapid regional developments and the course of the ongoing military escalation.
Abdelatty addressed the repercussions of recent attacks targeting Qatar and several Gulf states, as well as Jordan and Iraq. He expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Qatar and its Gulf neighbours, as well as with other affected Arab and friendly countries, condemning the attacks and rejecting any justifications or pretexts for them.
Abdelatty also stressed the need to immediately halt the attacks and prevent the region from sliding into comprehensive chaos, the spokesman said.
In return, the Qatari FM expressed appreciation for Egypt’s support and solidarity with its Arab partners at this critical juncture.
