The swift demand for tickets reflects the deep admiration Egyptian audiences have for Bocelli, confirming his place among the country’s most cherished international tenors.

Next month’s performance will mark his long-awaited return to Egypt after 15 years, following his unforgettable concerts in 2003 and 2010.

The tenor has previously performed in the country at the Giza Plateau, singing against the backdrop of the pyramids and the Sphinx.

His first appearance was in August 2003, accompanied by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. He returned in September 2010, performing again with Egyptian musicians, drawing large audiences and international attention.

Now, more than a decade later, Bocelli will perform in the modern setting of the New Capital.

The upcoming concert is part of Bocelli’s international tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of his iconic album Romanza. Released in 1997, Romanza was Bocelli’s breakthrough album and remains his most commercially successful, topping charts throughout Europe and Latin America.

Among the songs on this album is Bocelli’s signature hit Con te partirò, which later became even more famous as Time to Say Goodbye with Sarah Brightman. Other iconic tracks include Vivo per lei, recorded in several languages and as duets with different singers; Romanza, a lyrical romantic ballad and the album’s title track; Il mare calmo della sera, the song that launched Bocelli’s career after winning a major Italian music competition; and Caruso, his powerful cover of the classic Italian song by Lucio Dalla.
